THE BIRDS AND THE BEES
in Blakers Park but were too scared to ask
Our expert guest speakers will be:
Mike Unwin, travel writer & RSPB photographer AND Vanessa Tourle, local beekeeper

Mike Unwin's latest book

Vanessa keeping bees so they thrive
There will also be an update on the local road safety campaign, a report on progress with the Management Plan and the details of a new yuletide event in the park
The evening finishes with a short and entertaining burst of official Annual General Meeting, including looking at the annual accounts, a review of the previous 12 months, the election of the committee and officers for the following year and a discussion about how we can make Blakers better, so bring your ideas. An amendment to the Constitution has been proposed and will be discussed, to add two new membership categories – household membership at £5 and group membership at £30.
Not only will there be FREE tea and FREE coffee, but also FREE biscuits!!!!
Our Constitution can be downlaoded, as can the draft minutes of the 2010 Annual General Meeting. And don’t forget to download the poster from the link at the bottom of this post, so please put it up in your window and on noticeboards at school, work and community groups.
