Blakers Park cafe

Blaker’s Park Café has been one of the most popular places in the park since it was reopened by Sally Griffiths after many years of closure.

The building had originally been the tennis clubhouse but, after working closely with the Friends, the Council found someone who was willing to take it on and make a go of it.

It is open every day of the year when the weather is clement (except Christmas Day) and offers an extraordinary selection of sandwiches, home-made cakes, drinks, sweets and ice creams.

Every October the café runs a spectacular community event – the Halloween Party for youngsters. Peple from all over the city come to be spooked by the ghoulish phenomena.

Every other day, it’s the perfect place to come to enjoy a drink and something to eat, in the fresh air of our park.
