Bluebell Wood

The north west corner of the park may look a little overgrown but it is planted and managed, up to a point!

In the mid-1990s this area had been a toilet block which fell into disrepair, before being knocked down in the and the land being raised to the level it is today. In November 2010 a group of volunteers helped City Park’s ranger Emma Keane to plant hundreds of English bluebells so that each Spring there’s a lovely splash of colour among the trees.
